Dr. Dayton’s research focus is developing and applying ultrasound in conjunction with contrast agents and/or acoustically active drug delivery vehicles for advanced ultrasound imaging and targeted therapeutics. Specific tools developed in the Dayton lab which may be of interest to collaborators include: high-resolution microvascular imaging, biomarker imaging, blood flow imaging, blood-brain barrier opening, targeted thermal delivery, blood clot disruption, local drug delivery, sonoporation, and DNA shearing and sample sonication.
