Clinically I have a comprehensive pediatric surgery practice with key areas of expertise and focus in : chest wall deformities (Pectus excavatum and Pectus carinatum), congenital lung anomalies, ECMO (for pediatric/neonatal respiratory failure/pulmonary hypertension), complex anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung’s disease.
I have a research interest in the following areas:
1. Pulmonary Hypertension in the context of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
2. As a founding member of the Eastern Pediatric Surgical Network- we are involved in many clinical studies that investigate common problems in the clinical practice of pediatric surgery. All of the studies are performed through our multi-institutional research collaborative.
3. I am also investigating how disparities in healthcare have an impact upon outcomes in surgery for pediatric surgery patients.
