I am trained in neuroscience with specialty in viral and non-viral nano-biomaterials-mediated gene/drug therapy. My research focuses on the use of nanotechnologies and biocompatible materials to develop safe and effective gene and drug therapies for limiting the effects of retinal blinding diseases. My focus for over fifteen years has been hereditary retinal and macular degenerations, including eye tumors.
