Dr. Guimaraes’s research interests lie within pediatric neuroradiology, including fetal and neonatal imaging. Aside from her clinical work, she is also interested in quality improvement and education. She has led numerous quality improvement efforts throughout her career and given many didactic lectures locally, nationally, and internationally.

My research focuses mainly include developing statistical and machine learning approaches in neuroimaging and imaging genetics analyses, by integrating the statistical functional data analysis, dimension reduction, missing data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, etc., with AI-based approaches.
