Timeline for Residency Applications for Match 2025 (Academic Year 2025–2026)

| August 27, 2024 | UNC Pathology Residency Program hosts a resident-run virtual open house (7PM EST) |
| September 4, 2024 | Applicants can apply to programs |
| September 25, 2024 | Residency programs may review applications |
| October 2024 | UNC interview season begin |
| November 2024 | UNC interview season ends |
| December 2024 – January 2025 | OPTIONAL resident-run in-person open houses for interviewees |
| March 17-21, 2025 | Match Week |
Virtual Open House
The residents will be hosting a virtual open house at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (EST) on Thursday, August 22nd and Tuesday, August 27th.

Interviews
Interviews will all be virtual this year. They will include an overview of the program, time with faculty and time with the current residents.
Applications
Applications are accepted through November 2024. Available interview slots may fill quickly and interested applicants are advised to submit their applications early.
The UNC Hospitals Pathology Residency Program requires:
- Applications must be submitted exclusively through ERAS.
- Three letters of recommendation
- Medical school transcript
- Personal statement
- Demonstrated interest in Pathology
- Valid ECFMG certification for international medical graduates
- Medical school cut-off date of ten years
