Thomas B. Alexander, MD was promoted to Associate Professor of Pediatrics with Tenure effective March 21, 2025. Dr. Alexander received a BS in Engineering from the University of Virginia in May 2003 and earned his medical degree from UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine in May 2009. He also completed a MPH at UNC Chapel Hill School of Public Health in May 2009. Dr. Alexander completed his Pediatric Residency at UNC Chapel Hill in 2013. He completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where he also completed a research fellowship in the laboratory of Charles Mulligan, MBBS, MD in the Department of Pathology at St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
