Melissa Smith, MD was promoted to Associate Professor of Pediatrics effective December 1, 2025. Dr. Smith has been a faculty member in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine since 2018. Dr. Smith received a BS in Biology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS in 2007 and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City in 2012. She completed her Pediatric residency at UNC Hospitals in 2015 and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at UNC in 2018. Congratulations!
