Martina Gentzsch, PhD was promoted to Professor of Pediatrics effective February 1, 2026. Dr. Gentzsch earned her undergraduate, masters and PhD from the University of Regensburg in Germany. Currently, Dr. Gentzsch’s research focuses on uncovering potential targets for therapy of chronic lung diseases, including cystic fibrosis (CF). Her laboratory works to improve pre-clinical models for CFTR research and drug discovery in CF.
