Visiting Students

Welcome to University of North Carolina and the North Carolina Children’s Hospital! I am the Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Pediatrics. We are excited you will be joining us for a pediatric elective and look forward to meeting you upon your arrival. In addition to the experience on your elective, I encourage you to take advantage of available opportunities to get to know us and our residency training programs. You are welcome to attend the daily resident educational conferences. If interested, we can also arrange opportunities for you to visit our other resident training clinical sites in Greensboro and Raleigh.

Dr. Margaret Kihlstrom is the Pediatric Residency Program Director, and Dr. Michael Contarino is the Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Director. All of us are available to meet with you during your elective and discuss any of your interests or questions.
