WHO WE ARE
The Food Allergy Registry & Repository is part of the UNC Food Allergy Initiative– a research program focused on making life safer for kids and families living with food allergies.
By joining, you’ll share important health information in a secure research registry to help scientists:
- Understand how the immune system reacts to food
- Improve diagnosis and treatment
- Develop prevention strategies and new therapies
WHAT TO EXPECT
Who can join?
Kids & adults living with food allergies in North Carolina or nearby states
Joining is voluntary and safe:
- Step 1: Learn about the study and sign consent
- Step 2: Complete 1st survey (5-10 min) of basic
- Step 3: Complete 2nd survey (1-2 min per food allergy) with your allergy experiences at home
- Step 4: We may reach out about future studies– but you’re never obligated to participate
- Step 5: (optional) Provide an additional blood tube, if your allergist is already planning to test your blood during your routine allergy visit
