Food and Movement as Medicine
In this session, we will review individual efforts in maintaining practices outside of the group. We will also introduce several nutrition concepts and the practice of gentle yoga – a form of mindfulness in motion. Throughout this session, we will discuss non-judgment of experience, curiosity, and respectful attention to one’s physical limits.
Daily Life Practice
- Read nutrition labels for 3 foods. Share any discoveries with the group next week.
- Continue to bring mindfulness to your daily activities.
Manual Activity
- Complete the unpleasant events chart.
Home Practice
- Practice the Body Scan Meditation, 6 out of 7 days.
- Practice the Awareness of Breath Meditation, 6 out of 7 days.
