Navigating Challenging Communication

In this session, we will learn how to use mindfulness to navigate challenging communication effectively. We will also discuss different approaches to depression and explore other non-pharmacological tools. A  Loving-Kindness meditation will be offered and conversations will be had about the new experience.

 

Session 7 Participant Manual

Daily Activity

  • Try one mind-body approach to depression every day (exercise or movement activities, art or music therapy, spiritual practice, journaling, etc.). Refer to the manual or your previous experiences for more ideas.

 

Home Practice

  • Practice a meditation of your choosing (loving-kindness, awareness of breath, or body scan), 6 out of 7 days a week.
