Our Body’s Response to Pain

During this session, the group will discuss how the body responds to pain and the different non-pharmacological treatment options (acupressure, yoga, tai chi, massage, meditation, acupuncture) that are available. We will also dive deeper into movement as medicine.

Daily Life Practice

  • Be aware of stress reactions during the week while they are happening and without trying to change them in any way.
  • Experiment with different mindful movement activities every day in a way that is comfortable for you.


Home Practice

  • Alternate practicing the body scan meditation and yoga, 6 out of 7 days.
  • Practice meditation, 6 out of 7 days.
