Congratulations to our Vice Chair of Education and General Psychiatry Residency Program Director, Dr. Karon Dawkins for being selected to be a Mentor/Leader in an inaugural program called STAHR- Students in Training, Academia, Health, and Research. This program is through the Office of Inclusive Excellence and we’re so proud to have you in this role!
STAHR is an Office of Inclusive Excellence initiative and a collaborative effort between UNC School of Medicine and UNC Healthcare. The goal of STAHR is to build community, leadership, academic and professional excellence, and success among underrepresented students and trainees. The program uses a framework of tiered cluster mentoring that involves faculty, staff, fellows, post docs, residents, MD students, and graduate students. The program is an annual program that lasts for one year.
