Summary Statement:
After completing residency at UNC, Dr. Zarzar began private practice in Raleigh, NC where he practiced both inpatient and outpatient general adult psychiatry, Electroconvulsive Therapy, and did consultative work at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. His primary interests included mood disorders and anxiety disorders. He also saw older adults and patients with attentional issues.
Dr. Zarzar continued work in Raleigh until 2019 after which he began work at Central Regional Hospital on an inpatient basis, seeing patients with Schizophrenia and related conditions.
At UNC, Dr. Zarzar performs outpatient psychiatry and will also be involved with interventional psychiatry.
