Summary Statement:

Dr. Hodgins is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UNC and the medical director of research of the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Research Program (CHAAMP). In her clinical work, Dr. Hodgins specializes in the care of children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities as well as other neuropsychiatric concerns as an attending at Youth Behavioral Hospital and in her outpatient practice. She is also a consulting psychiatrist for Murdoch Developmental Center, a public residential facility and clinic for people with developmental disabilities. As the medical director of research for CHAAMP (the child and adolescent anxiety and mood disorders research program), Dr. Hodgins leads projects in child and adolescent psychopharmacology and contributes to basic and translational research to develop and disseminate interventions that prevent and treat mental health problems in youth. Her passion for improving mental health care for children and adolescents is central to her involvements in advocacy, medical education, research, and clinical work.
