Clinical Instructor
Lynn Wetherbee (they/them) became the Orange-Chatham Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Lead in June 2023. Prior to this role, they functioned as an Outpatient Therapist at the STEP Clinic at CarrMill beginning in July 2021. Before coming to UNC, they worked on two other ACT teams, functioning in both rural and urban settings, beginning in 2017. They previously functioned on ACT as a Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist and Team Lead.
Lynn received their MSW from UNC Chapel Hill and holds professional licenses in North Carolina as both a Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Addictions Specialist. Lynn is passionate about working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses in a community-setting where folks have the opportunity to gain and maintain stability in the community and are afforded the dignity of risk in making life choices as they work towards building a life worth living.
