Rebecca Bottom, MD is an assistant professor with UNC Psychiatry. She is the Associate Vice Chair of Quality and Safety in Psychiatry, Co-Chair of the UNC Medical Center Workplace Safety Program Council, and Medical Director of the Wake STEP Community Clinic. She is passionate about reducing barriers to excellent, evidence-based care experienced by individuals in our community who live with severe persistent mental illnesses, like schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. Dr. Bottom is committed to the idea that continuous quality improvement will enhance our senses of safety, effectiveness, and joy in our work as caregivers.
