E-PROMPT: Early Psychosis Resources: One-on-one Mentoring and Professional Training

E-PROMPT is a free, individualized early psychosis education program available for any clinician (mental health or medical) seeking information about early psychosis care in North Carolina. Recognizing the limited availability of specialized treatment, we aim to support the evidence-based care of all people in the State of North Carolina who are experiencing psychosis through one-on-one mentoring. Our goal is to provide evidence based information and resources based on your question.

Examples of support includes (but not limited to):

  • Information for where one can refer to a coordinated specialty care clinic
  • Guidance on an ideal medical work-up for a patient experiencing psychosis
  • Information on differential diagnoses of causes of early psychosis
  • Guidance on recommended screening and monitoring tools
  • Information on other early psychosis care trainings and tools available to clinicians in the State of North Carolina and nationally

E-PROMPT can only answer questions submitted by treating clinicians in the state of North Carolina. If you are a person experiencing psychosis or a loved one, please see here for a list of coordinated specialty care clinics in North Carolina. If you are a clinician practicing outside of North Carolina, consider the SMI Adviser consult program https://consult.smiadviser.org/.

E-PROMPT should not be used for urgent or emergent medical or mental health needs. For a medical emergency please call 911 or seek immediate attention at the nearest emergency room. For a mental health emergency, please call 988 or seek attention at the nearest emergency room.

To ensure the safety and privacy of the individuals you treat, we ask that NO identifying information be provided. E-PROMPT does not provide patient-specific consultation or medical advice. Please do not include Protected Health Information in submissions. Any submissions found to include Patient Health Information will be immediately deleted to protect patient privacy.
