Dr. Pelletier-Baldelli is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UNC. Within the department, Dr. Pelletier-Baldelli primarily works with the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program (CHAAMP) and the Women’s Mood Disorder Program. In her program of research, Dr. Pelletier-Baldelli investigates how social behavior and social motivation influence adolescent neurodevelopment and risk for severe mental illness. Her work includes a focus on using multimodal assessments of social processes and neuroimaging methodology to identify developmental pathways of psychopathology risk. She also seeks to understand how the peripubertal period of life may be a particularly vulnerable period of time for influencing trajectories of mental health and well-being.
