Biography
Dr. Casey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of North Carolina and serves as Program Director for the Radiation Oncology Residency. She is also the Director of Pediatric and Young Adult Malignancies within the department. She earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, graduating with Distinction in Medical Education and Distinction in Research, and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She was also awarded the James Felt Memorial Prize for Highest Overall Standing. She completed her residency training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Resident from 2019 to 2020, before joining UNC as faculty. Dr. Casey is board certified in radiation oncology and specializes in the treatment of pediatric cancers and breast cancer. She is deeply involved in clinical research and works to bring new and innovative treatment options to patients through clinical trials at UNC and across the country, with active national involvement through the Children’s Oncology Group.
