What is it about a good picture that makes professionals more likely to take you seriously when you show up for the job interview? Well, we understand that image matters! As future leaders of the biomedical industry and academic arena, it is imperative that we brand ourselves with the correct image. That is why we chose to offer our members professional headshots, so they can stunt on the competition (professionally of course). Additionally, in this day and age of virtual symposiums and conferences it is important to allow people to associate a name with a face.
Being a black organization we thought it best that we consult and support a black business. Of course we would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the amazing photographer, Jasmine Kerr, who worked with us. We also partnered with the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) in order to pull off the event.
