On Monday, June 10, 2013, Diane Hunter was awarded the Patient Care Star Heel Award. This award recognizes a Surgery staff member who demonstrates excellence when working and communicating with patients and is voted on by co-workers, supervisors, and peers. The staff member who receives this award exhibits concern and care for the patient, while at the same time working efficiently to assist them with their needs.
“Diane works with burn patients on a daily basis, she is often the first contact they have with us. She schedules new patients that call or are referred for acute burn care. She is consistently patient and caring, and works with the patients and families to make sure their appointment is made and their questions are answered to the best of her ability.”
