Why did you choose burn surgery?
I enjoy working with the entire team of care providers at the UNC Burn Center and seeing patients regain independence throughout each phase of healing and recovery.
What is your philosophy of care or approach to patient care?
Healing begins with positive encouragement and teaching. Being hospitalized or receiving medical care can feel scary. I want my patients to feel empowered to help themselves throughout the injury healing process.
