January 12, 2012 — Crystal J. Neely, an Immunology and Microbiology graduate student working under the direction of Drs. Bruce Cairns and Rob Maile in the Burn Center Research Lab, has been chosen to attend the St. Jude National Graduate Student 2012 Symposium in Memphis, TN.

The St. Jude Symposium is a prestigious event that annually invites a select group of PhD students to submit applications. From this year’s group, a faculty review committee choose the top three percent of submissions. Neely will present her work on the immune consequences of serious burn injury.

The Symposium is scheduled for March 20-24 at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and features scientific sessions, meetings with the St. Jude faculty and postdoctoral fellows, and tours of the St. Jude facilities and the Memphis area.
