On behalf of the Anesthesiology Department, welcome to our Research Division. Our research portfolio in the department includes a thematic, NIH-funded research program focused on improving pain outcomes and recovery after stress and trauma (UNC Institute for Trauma Recovery), a number of other investigator-initiated studies conducted by our outstanding faculty, and a thriving industry-sponsored trials program. Our success is entirely due to the phenomenal faculty and staff on our team. The effective collaboration of these outstanding individuals accounts for our success, and we are fortunate that our numbers continue to grow.
