2022 World Delirium Awareness Day logoIn conjunction with World Delirium Awareness Day on March 16, 2022, the International Federation of Delirium Societies launched two new delirium journals. Delirium and Delirium Communications are official online publications of The International Federation of Delirium Societies – the European Delirium Association, the American Delirium Society, and the Australasian Delirium Association.

By necessity, addressing delirium requires a multi-discipline approach. For this reason, both delirium-focused journals encourage submissions from various disciplines including basic and experimental sciences, geriatrics, neurology, general hospital services, population studies, psychiatry, perioperative medicine, palliative care, institutional care, and pediatrics. As a result, the editorial team seeks work which focuses on delirium, regardless of the clinical or research setting. On top of all that, these international journals are the first scholarly journals built exclusively around delirium.

Delirium and Delirium Communications are open-access, not-for-profit, peer-reviewed journals. Both journals share the same editorial team and welcome direct submissions. In addition, they support submissions from low- and middle-income countries. Prospective authors can learn more about submissions on the For Authors page.
