UNC MSTAR Program Funded by the National Institute on Aging

Through a third round of NIA funding, UNC’s Medical Students Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) program will continue as a National Training Center from 2020 through 2025. Over 60 UNC faculty from 35 medical specialties across five Health Science Schools serve as volunteer student mentors.

UNC Chapel Hill has been an MSTAR (Medical Students Training in Aging Research) Training Center since 2010 and is one of only 7 national MSTAR sites. Through the program, UNC MSTAR has trained 107 pre-doctoral medical students from across the United States. Read more
