Dr. Stephanie Engel has accepted the position as the Associate Director of Imaging-based Population Sciences at the Biomedical Research Imaging Center Dr. Engel is a Professor in the UNC Department of Epidemiology, Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is also the Director, UNC Center for Early Life Exposures and Neurotoxicity (UNC CLEAN), Deputy Director, UNC Center for Environmental Health and Susceptibility, and Co-Director of the newly renewed NIESH T32, “Biostatistics for Environmental Health Research.”  Her research focuses on how environmental exposures and innate susceptibility factors could impact early neurodevelopment in children.  She will develop strategies to enhance collaborations between Gillings School of Global Public Health and the BRIC. Dr. Engel joins fellow Associate Directors at the BRIC, including Dr. Ian Shih, Dr. Kelly Giovanello, and Angela Creighton.
