Why I Chose UNC:
I chose UNC first and foremost for the people. The faculty and residents here are truly a family, and the atmosphere is supportive and inclusive. Additionally, the program uniquely offers training at both a large academic institution (UNC) as well as a major community center (WakeMed), something that few other programs offer. Last but not least, the faculty/leadership at UNC remain at the forefront of Emergency Medicine, positioning the residents for future success in any discipline of Emergency Medicine.
