UNC Team led by Page receives $2.4 million to establish technical assistance center to help develop residencies in rural communities
A national team led by Cristy Page, MD, MPH, Chair of UNC Family Medicine, has been awarded $2.4 million of funding in a cooperative agreement by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Office of Rural Health Policy.

FDA should be equitable in proposed regulations on reducing nicotine in cigarettes
A commentary led by Family Medicine researcher M. Justin Byron, PhD suggests that a recent FDA policy proposal needs to include little cigars, which look and function like cigarettes, to be equitable and most effective.
