Members of the Age-Based Genomic Screening project volunteered at the 10th Annual Hispanic Heritage Fiesta 2023 in Siler City. This celebration is hosted by the Hispanic Liaison (El Vínculo Hispano), an organization focused on addressing the unique needs of the growing Hispanic population in North Carolina.
We were glad to have this chance to meet more members of our community to further our focus on equity and inclusion of all in genetics research. We distributed some of our new items featuring our educational comics, stickers, informational flyers, and other materials. See below for some pictures of our members during the event!
