On Sept. 14th, the Age Based Genomic Screening team engaged with over 300 residents in the cities of Monroe/Charlotte, NC at the Community Health and Wellness Fair hosted by Wingate University, Novant Health, Heart for Monroe, and Walgreens! We loved hearing about everyone’s knowledge and opinions of genetic screening and genomic medicine and research as well as answering questions about our project. This fair also featured health services like flu shots, blood pressure, and blood sugar screenings and giveaways like free food, dental hygiene kits, school supplies, and more.
