Researchers Connect Alzheimer’s-Associated Genetic Variants with Brain Cell Function

Led by scientists at UNC-Chapel Hill and UC-San Francisco, research reveals new non-coding genetic variants associated with Alzheimer’s disease functioning in microglia – brain cells already implicated in the progression of this often-fatal neurodegenerative condition. Dr. Matthew Halvorsen Awarded R21 Grant from NIMH

GENYSIS Research Core Now Available

The UNC Clinical Genomic Analysis (GENYSIS) Core is a research service that collaborates with the BioSpecimen Processing (BSP) facility, the High-Throughput Sequencing Facility (HTSF), and the McLendon Molecular Genetics Laboratory (MGL) to provide clinical researchers with four main services.
