The annual Department of Genetics/BCB/GMB Scientific Retreat was held in Wilmington NC during the weekend of March 15-17, 2019.

John was nominated by students in the BCB and GMB curricula and the award is provided by The Graduate School and the Graduate and Professional Student Federation.
