Dr. Fernando Pardo-Manuel de Villena (Professor and Chair, Genetics) was awarded a Research Service Agreement for the Systems Genetics group to provide exclusive data analysis services for the miniMUGA inbred mouse Background Analysis Report for Neogen.

Dr. Hyejung Won (Assistant Professor, Genetics) was awarded an R21 grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for her project titled “Using H-MAGMA to decipher neurological bases of smoking and alcohol use traits”.

Ageliki Tsagaratou, PhD (Assistant Professor, Genetics) and Dan Schrider, PhD (Assistant Professor, Genetics) Awarded five year MIRA (R35) Grants from National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS).

Department of Genetics faculty, postdocs, students and collaborators published nine papers during June 14-27, 2020.

Drs. Pat Sullivan, Mark Heise and Lisa Tarantino received notices of new awards in June 2020.

The founding members and current project team of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) project were recognized by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and will be honored during the virtual AACR meeting to be held Jun 22-24.

On June 9th, NIH, AHRQ and NIOSH released NOT-OD-20-123, which announced exceptions to the previously published post-submission materials guidelines (outlined in NOT-OD-19-083) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
