Charles M. Perou, PhD, the May Goldman Shaw Distinguished Professor of Molecular Oncology and Genetics at UNC School of Medicine and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, presented the 2022 AACR Distinguished Lectureship in Breast Cancer Research at the 45th San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium on Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Hyejung Won, PhD (Assistant Professor, Genetics) received a pilot award from the UNC Computational Medicine Program together with J.S. Marron, PhD (Professor, Statistics and Operations Research).
Jeremy Purvis, PhD (Associate Professor) and Christoph Rau, PhD (Assistant Professor) received an Emerging Challenges in Biomedical Research (ECBR) award from UNC School of Medicine for their project titled “Identifying the role of local cell-type neighborhoods on catecholamine-induced focal necrosis”.

Sam Wolff, PhD (Assistant Professor, Genetics) received a pilot award from the UNC Computational Medicine Program, together with Dr. Phil Spanheimer (Assistant Professor, Surgery).
