Dr. Ciavatta (Associate Professor, Genetics) was recognized by the UNC Kidney Center with the Maestro Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring. Presented annually by the nephrology clinical fellows, the award honors Professor Romulo Colindres whose outstanding teaching and mentoring of nephrology fellows earned him the title “Maestro”. For 2019-2020, Kidney Center graduate students nominated Dominic for his influential role in their education. Congratulations!
