Dr. Folami Ideraabdullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Genetics, was elected to the US Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHAD) Society Council Faculty seat.

The DOHAD Society is focused on all facets of the study of the fetal origins and early life programming of health and disease.  The society also strives to support trainees and early career investigators in their scientific and professional development.  The 2019 Annual Meeting of the society will be held at the Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill on Sept. 9-10.  Dr. Ideraabdullah’s service on this council will allow her to shape the future of the society as well as promoting DOHAD research at UNC.
