Dr. Chuck Perou (Distinguished Professor) has been appointed an honorary Doctor of Medicine by the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.
The announcement of the appointment highlights Dr. Perou as a “pioneer in modern cancer research, particularly known for his research on breast cancer and having identified different molecular types of the disease”. The honorary degree will be conferred at a ceremony at Stockholm City Hall on April 24, 2026.
