Congratulations to Dr. Samir Kelada who has been promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics, effective 9/1/18.

Samir Kelada

Samir joined the department in 2012.  He earned his MPH from University of Michigan in 2002 and his PhD from University of Washington in 2006, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Francis Collins at NIH.  He was recognized in 2015 as an NIEHS Outstanding New Environmental Scientist.  Samir is a member of the Marsico Lung Institute and an active faculty member in the BCB, GMB and Toxicology curricula. His laboratory is interested in identifying and characterizing the contributions of genetics, environmental exposures, and their interactions in airway diseases.  Please join us in congratulating Samir on this important career milestone!
