UNC GeNe Families including Graduate Students from the Curriculum in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and the Curriculum in Genetics and Molecular Biology celebrated the end of academic year 2024-2025 with a summer kick-off on the lawn of Genetic Medicine Building on the UNC campus on Tuesday, June 17.
The event was organized by the BCB and GMB programs’ GeNe Families organization, as well as BCB and GMB Graduate School Senators from the Graduate and Professional Student Government. GeNe Families is a graduate student organization consisting of students from the Curriculum in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, the Curriculum in Genetics and Molecular Biology, and students with labs in the Department of Genetics in a variety of other graduate programs.
The third annual community event included food, lawn games, and make your own tie-dye t-shirts.
