COVID-19 FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
In an effort to encourage UNC researchers to pursue funding related to COVID-19, the Office of Research Development has created a website to collect these opportunities (CDC, NIH, NSF, private). The site will be updated on a daily basis. We highly encourage all to pursue this funding if your lab is well-suited to pursue COVID-19 research. Administrative supplements are available as well.
HUMAN RESOURCES UPDATES FOR SUPERVISORS AND EMPLOYEES
The UNC System provided guidance on the definition of mandatory employees (ME) which can be found on the intranet site in the folder titled “Mandatory Employees”. You do not need to change any designations at this time and those people who are classified as CDME are equivalent to ME.
The 2019-2020 SHRA Performance Cycle end date has been moved from March 31, 2020 to June 30, 2020 and appraisals must be completed by August 31, 2020.
ESSENTIAL FACILITIES SUPPORT
For the near-term, essential facilities support activities (including housekeeping, hazardous waste removal and facilities requests) will remain operational for all buildings that house laboratories and animal facilities.
