UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Yuliya Pylayeva-Gupta (Associate Professor, Genetics and Member, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center) has received the 2022 Mark Foundation for Cancer Research “Emerging Leader Award” for her project titled “Reprogramming B cell fate and function in cancer”.

This three-year, $750,000 grant is one of seven grants made in 2022 to “promising early-career investigators for projects aimed at addressing unmet needs in cancer research. The Emerging Leader Award program empowers scientists to take on innovative, high-risk/high-reward projects that have significant potential to improve outcomes for cancer patients.”
