Dr. Yuliya Pylayeva-Gupta (Associate Professor, Department of Genetics) has received an American Cancer Society Research Scholar Award for her project titled “B Cells as Mediators of Tumor Eradication in Pancreatic Cancer”.
This four-year grant (worth $660K direct costs) was awarded 01 JAN 2022 and will focus on the following aims: 1) To determine the role of antibody-producing B cells in anti-tumor immunity; 2) To determine the role of antigen presentation and/or T cell co-stimulation by B cells in anti-tumor immunity; 3) To evaluate how agonistic CD40 potentiates B cell-mediated anti-tumor responses.
