  • Department of Health Sciences Research Forum DHS Office of Research & Scholarship Wednesday, May 20, Noon – 1 pm MacNider 321 (for Zoom link & lunch registration, scan QR code) Motor-Based Problem Solving in Physical Therapy for Infants Stacey Dusing PT, PhD, FAPTA Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry University of Southern California Training for physical, occupational, and speech therapists are isolated from each other, and rarely provide adequate training in transdisciplinary practice or research methods. Dr. Dusing will share her experience with mentoring researchers, clinician scientists, and therapists. She will also share preliminary results from the SIT-PT trial for infants with early signs of Cerebral Palsy which compared the efficacy of a motor-based problem- solving intervention with a dose matched control intervention that replicated usual care.
