The UNC School of Medicine Department of Allied Health Sciences houses seven divisions across the health care spectrum. Our dynamic programs, centers, and offices provide exemplary teaching, innovative research, and patient-centered clinical care to North Carolinians and beyond. We produce the nation's leading allied health professionals and provide new knowledge that informs both practice and policy. The department, led by Stephen Hooper, PhD, associate dean and chair, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022.
