The UNC School of Medicine IT partnered with the Office of Medical Education Curriculum Support team to advise on best practices for migrating course materials for the Undergraduate Medical Foundation Phase from Sakai to Canvas. While this transition is applicable to all courses, the MD Degree program uniquely uses the LMS to provide structure and organization to the multiple courses within the foundation phase. The LMS is also used as a repository for course materials in the later phases of the curriculum.
