One45 is used by the UNC School of Medicine for assessing learners, instructors and educational experiences; curriculum management; and delivering student schedules and grades.

Login to one45

Click “UNC-CH SSO”.

Enter your username (ONYEN) and password.

If you have forgotten your ONYEN login information, contact the UNC School of Medicine Help Desk at 919-962-HELP or submit a Service Now request.

If your ONYEN is current, but it does not work for One45, please submit a Service Now request.

One-time login link

If you do not log into One45 very often, you may find it easiest to use the one-time-use login links that are contained in the email notification sent by One45

When using these one-time-use links, please be aware of the following:

  • Only the most recently-received one-time-use link will work.
  • Every reminder includes a new link.
  • The link is good for one use only. Once it is clicked, it cannot be reused.
  • Using the link will permit a limited login to One45, allowing access only to the forms pending completion.
  • Some security software will check the links in the background before delivering them to your email inbox. Unfortunately, this uses the link.

If you need to log in again before receiving a new link, or if the one-time-use login link does not work, you can generate a password using the following method. Once you generate your ID and password, make note of it in a discreet place. You can reuse that ID and password to log into the One45 system as needed.

To obtain your One45 username and password: Click the purple “Login” button.

At the One45 login page (, click the “Need help logging in?” link.

Where it says “send password to” enter your email address (use the one contained in the notification email). Please ignore the information about the ONYEN – that is mostly for UNC students, faculty, staff and some residents (although a few others still maintain a UNC ONYEN and can use it in some cases)

Click submit.

The system will send you an email with a link to use to set or reset your password.  This is a time-limited link and will expire in 10 minutes. The link can be generated again if it times out.

Clicking the link will take you to a web page where you can set or reset your password.

Please set a strong password that you will remember.  If you forget it, you can always repeat this process.

What is My eDossier?

Your eDossier (or electronic dossier) is an electronic folder of important information about you and your experiences as a student. It is the interface through which you access the One45 system (e.g., to complete evaluations, to view your schedule or to check your grades). By storing all your information in one place, the eDossier streamlines the administrative process and reduces the risk of transmission errors.

Whenever you have an evaluation to complete in One45 you will receive an email. If you do not receive a notification email when you think you should have a form to complete for a student (usually within a week of the end of the rotation), you will want to make sure that emails from and are not being caught by your junk or spam filter. Please check your junk/spam folder, or reach out to your email administrator, to allow or “whitelist” **.

When you log in, if there are any forms to complete to evaluate a student, those online forms will appear in your One45 “To-Do” list.  Simply click on the student’s name, the forms will open in a new tab or window (depending on your browser settings) complete the evaluation, and click “Submit” at the bottom. The evaluation can be partially completed, saved (click save and close) and it will remain in your To-Do list until you are ready to finish and submit it. You will receive reminders until the evaluation is completed and submitted.

All completed evaluations are archived under the Evaluations menu item.
