Our interest is in the cellular interactions, protein chemistry, and enzyme kinetics that are behind the molecular mechanisms of both healthy hemostasis and the dysregulation of hemostasis seen in bleeding and thrombosis. Part of our research focus is the mechanisms of novel coagulation molecules and novel antithrombotics. A main focus of our work is developing mathematical models of coagulation and thrombus formation that will provide a basis for new drug development.
